Suicide/Crash/Murder?
http://www.nbc30.com/news/10954654/detail.html
Report: Passenger In Fatal Plane Crash Was Acting Erratically OXFORD, Conn. -- There are new mysteries in a 2004 plane crash in New York that killed two Connecticut men. A new federal report says the passenger, 40-year-old Michael Keilty, of Newtown, was acting strangely in the days before the crash. It also says he was under FBI investigation over millions of dollars he owed to lenders, and that he tried twice without success to buy life insurance policies on himself just before the flight. The plane crashed in July of 2004 near the airport in Ticonderoga, New York. Keilty and the pilot, 76-year-old Milton Marshall, of Oxford, were found dead in the burned wreckage. The report also says a seven-shot gun clip missing two bullets was found in the wreckage. Autopsies couldn't determine whether the men died of injuries from the crash, or by other means. No equipment or weather problems were reported. Federal officials expect to release another report and a probable cause of the crash in four to six months. [end article] Sounds like a movie script. I remember that crash because it was by an airport that I frequent and my family grumbled about it for a few days. Poor pilot if this turns out to be a suicide/murder. Marco |

Along the same lines, I was on one of the CAP search teams on this incident: http://www.ntsb.gov/ntsb/brief.asp?e...12X16676&key=1 The pilot crashed while trying to dump his wife's body out of the plane. Marco Milt was a local legend here in CT. He'd been in the aviation biz since the 50' IIRC. It's a shame he crossed paths with that loser that chartered the plane |
