Default Is BOB HOOVER still alive????

....and if so,, what is he doing these days to keep busy.

hi all,

I just tuned in the History Channel and there he was, for brief moment.
Amazing, that in the 30 years I've followed his stunt flying with
Rockwell, he hasn't aged one bit--he looked 80ish in the 1970's and he
still looks just as old!

Thanks for any replies

He was born in 1922.

His license to perform was pulled in 1992 when he turned 70, but he got
it back after a lawsuit. He stopped performing in air shows in 2000.

Bob was an honored guest at the flight of the Rutan rocket.

He quit flying the 51 not because he wanted to but because his knees could no
longer stand the stress.

Haven't seen him a while, but as far as I know, Bob's still living out
in Palos Verdes California.
