The HRZ plays with its new friend - index.jpg (1/1) [52K]

The HRZ is the Hrvatsko Ratno Zrakoplovstvo (the Croatian Air
Force). Its new friend was the USN, specifically the carrier
George Washington.

Of course, even in 2002 when these pictures were taken, the US and
Croatia had been cosying up together for some time but, as far as I
know, this was the first time their armed forces had exercised
together.

The exercise was called Joint Wings and took place in
October-November 2002. These are some of the photographs which
resulted. A few of them have been posted before. Some of them are
from the USN's site but I've resized these to make them more
manageable. If you want the huge versions, that's where you'll
find them.
