Default "New" ASCC code names

Hi,

the following info was forwarded by a reader of "Aviation News" (Sept.
2003), which has an article about the ASCC code name system (sometimes
not quite correctly known as "NATO code names"). He said the article
mentioned the following recently assigned (or not so recently, but not
widely known ;-) ) names:

Backfire-D Tu-22MR reconnaissance aircraft
Firkin Sukhoi Su-47 FSW demonstrator
Flanker-D Su-33 (Su-27K) naval variant
Flanker-E variant 1 Su-35 (Su-27M) upgraded Su-27
Flanker-E variant 2 Su-37 with thrust vectoring
Flanker-F variant 1 Su-30, Su-30K upgraded air-to-air twin-seater
Flanker-F variant 2 Su-30M, Su-30MK upgraded multirole twin-seater
Flanker-G Su-30MKK twin-seater for China
Flanker-H Su-30MKI twin-seater for India
Flatpack Mikoyan Product 1.44 (MFI) fighter prototype
Frogfoot-C Su-25T, Su-25TK, Su-39 attack aircraft
Frogfoot-D Su-25UTG carrier trainer
Fulcrum-D MiG-29K naval variant
Fulcrum-E MiG-29M upgraded MiG-29
Fulcrum-F MiG-29SMT upgraded single-seater
Fulcrum-G MiG-29UBT upgraded twin-seater
