Heard once that the first time a double bed was shown
on TV was on.....The Munsters....

stunned look

Remember - he's referring to TV in the USA.

No, it's just that it seems unusual for The Munsters to have been the
first to show it. I would have thought, perhaps, it would have been a
show with Mary Tyler Moore or the like; a somewhat more 'progressive'
show than the Munsters.

"According to the television trivia books, The Flintstones
[1960-1966] holds the distinction of being the first television
program to show a couple in bed together, although it was an
animated couple. I was watching a special about The Brady Bunch
[1969-1974], and Flo Henderson was saying how she thought that
she and Mr. Brady were trailblazing because they were the first
TV couple to be shown in a double bed. She later found out she
had been one-upped by none other than Lily Munster [The Munsters,
1964-1966]."

Oh, is that why Rosie O'Donnell was chosen to play her in the film?

That made as much sense as putting Drew Barrymore
in the Charlies Angels movie.

I swear there was no tongue in cheek there ;-)

I alway thought they missed a golden opportunity when marketing 007
cologne - "Use 007 and you too can have Pussy Galore".

I'd take Lily Munster any day -- or night.....

nobody cares what a poltroon draft dodger thinks about anything -
go away, you're not wanted here, try hanging out with your
misanthrope buddies in the Hatemonger's Clique if you want
conversation.

Why don't YOU go away - you cause nothing but problems. You used to also be
on a.b.p.animals as well.

Rare to see that much hostility in this group, true enough.

What gives?
