Default On buying a "used" kit (Avid Flyer)

Hi,

I have the opportunity to purchase an Avid Flyer Mark IV (STOL wings,
taildragger) at a very attractive price. It's been worked on over the years
by 2 different builders. Wings aren't attached, tanks aren't yet in the
wings. Can anyone offer advice on what to look for to assess its condition
or things to just consider in evaluating the purchase?

Thanks,

Paul
