garmin + see you software
I am interested in the garmin iqM5 as it has a GPS
receiver built in. Is anyone out there using one of these in their glider? If so, how is the screen on it? okay on daylight? I guess it would be compatible with "see you" software to make a portable solution. Willie Silent-IN "EK" |

SeeYou Mobile requires a Windows pda, so it wouln't work on it. -- Change "netto" to "net" to email me directly Eric Greenwell Washington State USA |

No, Garmin is covering all the bases, the M5 is a PocketPC running Windows Mobile 2003. Personally, I like the similar Mio 168 (aka NavMan PiN), which I've seen on sale for as little as $320... I do lose track of which Garmin is which... Always take the pda you interested in out into the sunlight, and make sure you are happy with the screen. There are important differences for glider cockpit use. -- Change "netto" to "net" to email me directly Eric Greenwell Washington State USA |
