Anyone use the Kelly Aerospace oil filters instead of Champion?

I did. I bought one at the local FBO when they didn't have a Champion
in stock. I couldn't tell the difference.

My new plane has a filter and I notice the Kelly's are about $3 cheaper.
I am looking into this also.

I tend to use them exclusively now that the CH48110 doesn't exist. Its
replacement (CH48110-1) is smaller and allegedly equal. I'd prefer the larger one, so
I get the Kelly. I cut open all my filters at oil change and can't see much
difference between them all.

Also, larger and more solid molded "nut" on the back for removal. Oh yeah,
it's cheaper too.

Hey, a timely topic... I'm ordering a case of filters today as I'm
finally out... I will try the Kellys...
