Default CAI302 to Dell Streak 5

Can anyone help me sort this out?
I want to send data out of the CAI302's RS232 to my Dell Streak via Bluetooth.
Can a simple serial Bluetooth/RS232 adapter do this such as one of these?:

http://www.usconverters.com/serial-bluetooth-adapter

If not, other than a K6T unit, what would work?
Do I need IOIO stuff conversion?
I don't have a Flarm to mix in.

Thanks, Wade

I built a cable from the 302 to the usconverters serial Bluetooth adapter and it worked great for years. Sold it when I upgraded to the S80. You need to check the pin and wiring schematic, as it is not standard on the 302, but it is not difficult. I also have a K6bt I would sell.

What Mark said. Without looking at the cable drawing, my guess is that
the TX and RX lines out of the 302 are reversed from standard so you'll
need a cable with TX and RX crossed. Look at the schematics!

This is a project I started to play with a bit, but haven't had time to finish it. There are two main parts you need if you want to create your own adapter that would cost less than $10. First, you need a max2322 rs232 to ttl converter. Second, you need an HC-06 Bluetooth adapter.

Here is a simple schematic with the pinouts (double check my work): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7W...ew?usp=sharing

This weekend is raining, hopefully, I will have some time to get back to this. If I have success with this, I will let you know.

PS, I have seen a similar design that uses a wifi module instead of the Bluetooth one.

Mark,
What's your "going rate" on that K6BT?
