WinScore Question

At the Albert Lea, Minnesota, USA National race for
18m and Open class sailplanes, the score sheets on
the SSA webpage list one type of Schleicher two different
ways:

ASG-29
and
ASW27-18.
(Ok, a third and a fourth way if you count the ASG
29, the one without the dash and the ASG29, the one
without a space...)

Why is that?

I believe Schleicher uses the ASW-27 type certificate
(or whatever is the term for 'experimental' in America)
for the ASG-29, but why would WinScore use two different
names for the same aircraft?

Just curious, that's all.

I thought that if it was a ASW, ASH, or ASG depended on which engineer
at Schleicher designed it.

Winscore uses whatever aircraft name the official scorer enters for
the contestant. That information is typically provided by the
contestant on the contest registration form.

This question does not relate to the Winscore program, but to what the
scorer and contestant choose to name a particular aircraft.
