Default Look outside! Fly like an eagle (video.)

When I fly with students in training and seasoned sailplane pilots for their flight review, I notice that most do not turn their head to look around outside the cockpit as much as they should (perhaps mesmerized by a simple variometer or a more sophisticated display.)

This video shows how an eagle looks around and observes its environment. Ultimate situational awareness! Note how it folds its wings to make a descent (fast final glide) when it spots its trainer.

All instruments inbuilt, backed up a innate flight skills. Nothing to look at "inside"

Cheers
