Newbie question on Rate of Climb
LOL!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but anything that could climb at 60,000 per minute would probably be powered by a big-ass rocket engine and piloted by someone named Yeager, Crossfield, Glenn, etc... Excepting of course for Burt Rutan's ship. All of us poor-boy hang-glider pilots use electronic variometers. Most of these are acurate to the foot (or fractions thereof) and have an audible tone that changes to indicate climb or sink. Harry Frey USHGA #79944 Hang 1 and climbing |
