5-month tour in Middle East ends; troops rejoin families

Lt. Jerry Sharpe had a homecoming party with about 35 guests planned.
Maj. Ben Welch just wanted to be with his wife and two children and
get back to routine life in Nashville.

They were two of the 70 or so airmen returning with the 118th Airlift
Wing of the Tennessee Air National Guard to Nashville's Berry Field
yesterday after just over five months in the Middle East.

Hundreds of family and friends awaited them with signs,...
