Not really a valid question, the F22 is a replacement for the likes of the
F15 eagle, in the same way the Eurofighter will be a replacement for the
Tornado F3. The F35/JSF is a replacement for the likes of F16, Harrier,
A10 etc.

I think his question is more along the lines of personal preference
not "which do you think is better". Like some like the F-14 more
than the F/A-18 and vice versa. Or some like the F-16 more than the
Tomcat. That kind of thing.

OK, in that case, I like the F35 best, mainly because being, in some ways)
a decendant of the harrier. It is more versitile, can take of from small
ships, large ships, roads etc. the F22 on the other hand will need a
hardened base or a large aircraft carrrier.

I should point out that being British I like the fact that the F35 has UK
involvment, RR and BAE.

Personally I like the F-23 the best ;-) From an aesthetics point of
view though I'd say the F-22A is a definite improvement over the
YF-22. And I like the Navy version of the F-35 the best out of those
with that big wing.

The F-22 will never be able to fly from an aircraft carrier.
