"On Silent Wings" AOPA Pilot Magazine, August 2017
"On Silent Wings", an article on Sailplane Grand Prix Racing by Charles Petersen, "Charlie Papa", with photography by Maria Szemplinska, appears in the August 2017 AOPA Pilot Magazine.
The Soaring Society of America and its members would like to thank AOPA and the author of this article, Mr. Charles Petersen, for providing exposure to sailplane racing, specifically FAI Sailplane Grand Prix Racing. Special thanks also go to US Team Member Sean Fidler and Rich Owen for displaying much of what is so great about this sport.
