Oil Analysis Results Question
TIO-540 in '79 TR182. I had a top overhaul 68 hours ago. Changed out the
mineral oil at 18 hours and just changed the 15-50 oil at 50 hours. Chromium is 30.4. I suspect that new cylinders will cause a higher than normal Chromium for a while, but is this unusally high? Thanks, Michael |

I got 41ppm chrome and I noted that I had cermichrome cyls (AOA note 993) and they returned "all values appear normal". For context that's about twice as much as iron, 8 times as much as Al, and 10 times as much as Silicon. -- Ben Jackson http://www.ben.com/ |
