Default Bell 212 fin

Many years ago, when I was working with Bell 212s, I knew that all FAA
certified IFR machines had to have that fin on the roof in front of the
mast. I've heard that the fin is no longer required but I couldn't
find any info about it.
Does anybody know about this? If the fin is no longer required, what
kind of onboard equipment (autopilot, SCAS...)is required to make it
IFR capable?
Thank you
