Has anyone done much business with Ameri-King? I purchased a brand new
ELT from them (via Aircraft Spruce) last week and it came in with a
defective ARM/OFF/ON switch. It would not stay in the ARM position. I
overnighted it to Ameri-King for repair/replacement. I just got off the
phone and they did ship me a new one, but the lady said they were not
sure if it was even defective. I have been in quality for 30 years - it
was defective. Then "company policy" will not let them reimburse my
shipping a out of box defective unit back to them. I could have used a
lessor cost method of shipment. I have a AOG....

Am I being unrasonable? Maybe I should have gone back though Spruce...

I'd contact ACS.

AK is a real piece of work with regard to customer support. You're not
the first to have problems with them.

I finally have my replacement in the mail coming back. I am not sure
they know what customer support is. They should take a lesson from
LightSpeed. I had to call several times to make sure is was shipping.
They seem to have no sense of urgency. When I got the UPS tracking
number, they sent it ground. aaarrrrrggghhh. I sent it overnight and
they return it ground. Very disappointing. First time I have ever bought
something of theirs.
