Well, I'm the guy who flew that Twin Comanche in - because my
homebuilt glider wasn't up to the trip. And you know - from where I'm
sitting, I think the Moon Man has a point. You gonna make fun of me
now?

Well, what's the ****in' point?

That it takes a mighty small man to make such a big noise over some
pictures of a party.

A twin Commanche is a slug on the way to nowhere nowadays

See, nothing is ever good enough for you. Now you feel the need to
put down my airplane too. OK, fine, it's a slug. I bet if someone
showed up in a jet, you would find a way to put that down too.

In fact I'll bet that 95% of the idiots who read your bull **** here
couldn't start the ****ing engines if their lives depended upon it.

You must have owned Twin Comanches with poorly adjusted fuel servos.
Too bad. It's not that hard to adjust them properly. Mine start
easily.

Certainly the Cessna pilot who wanted a ride didn't have any problem
starting my engines. Took all of 30 seconds to explain how. Way less
time than it took you to try and belittle everyone here. BTW, with
just a little coaching he did pretty good flying it, too. I even let
him land it.

Enjoy your vitriol, but remember that Pinkneyville is a party. No
more, no less. It's not Oshkosh, and it's not supposed to be. For me
it's a chance to see people I know through the 'net but don't
otherwise meet. It was a good weekend.

I hung out with some old friends, told a few tall tales and listened
to a few more, drank a few beers, helped a fellow with a cold jug on
his engine get it running again, flew a twin I hadn't flown before,
watched an impromptu airshow, and generally had a good time. BTW -
what did YOU do that weekend?

It's Doctor a-OK again! ) and his super-sneaky disappearing
ink!

You do have a sense of humor after all. Glad to see you made it back
from the Littrow Tarus region! What happened? Your high gain antenna
fall off cause you forgot to use good AN locknuts? And let me
guess: you're also having trouble with the new patent that beams
your neurons up to the vehicle so you can update your patent number
file on the LEM landing stage. What a waste of 8k storage!

But what about your Martian Hardware? You know the stuff you said
that works. Boy, those new rovers are making your stuff look pretty
crappy. Maybe they can roam over and rescue some of the pieces for
you. I bet your twin brother worked on the Beagle Two. Loss of basic
signal seems to run in your family.

1) HARDWARE? (Claims to have secret space hardware on the Moon and
Mars)

GO!

2) PROGRAMMING? (Claims to have been involved in both programs even
though they're too many years apart)

GO!

3) ELECTRICAL? (Doesn't know what key transistors are used in his own
com equip)

GO!

4) CAPCOM? (Can't tell who he's talking to online, flys into
uncontrollable fits of rage)

GO!

5) RETRO? (Despises anyone around him who discovers he's an idiot)

GO!

6) FIRE CONTROL? (Tries to kill off anyone who scuttles his plans for
worldwide usenet domination)

GO!

7) GUIDANCE? (Never had any as a small child; the reason he became a
mad scientist)

GO!

8) PAYLOAD? (18 lbs of Sporty's Pilot Shop trinkets in his pockets)

GO!

All systems are Go! We have lift off! Lift off of Dr. Evil

So you don't think that if I repeatedly asked people to "Shun" you,
that that is not a sad attempt to silence you?

If that is an attempt to silence me, then "sad" is a pretty good
description because you can't make me stop posting.

Del, I'm just am chafing from this constant which hunt by what appear
to me to be low qualification people. Without a moderator, It's up to
all of us to determine the most important characteristics of expert
posters on this NG. I submit that building experience, ratings,
relevant education and writing ability are far more important than who
showed up at somebody's hangar or who kisses the most butt of the
regulars on a weekly basis or who uses the best table manners in an
attempt to become popular.

Pac, all of those things are important here but I still have to object
to the attitude that the rest of us aren't worthy of posting because we
don't have the hours, are working on our first airplane project, or some
other reason why we should lick the boots of the few high time ATPs who
post here. I don't have a lot of flight experience and I know it. I
challenge you to go back through the archives and find even one instance
in which I try to hand out flying advice. When I post about building, I
post about things which I have DONE or otherwise have a good knowledge
of. That means that I usually don't post much other than in off topic
threads like this one.

Remember: when in doubt: defer to
substance and experience; not to superficial appearances. This is not
to say that anyone can't participate (even Bernie the Butt****, who
nobody likes.) It's just that I think it's wrong to let "Nobodybird"
and her liberated males sabotage the NG to satisfy her personal
vendettas.

I guess that is part of my point. As much as I dislike Bernie and his
ilk, I don't consider you to be a whole lot different other than you
support BWB rather than oppose him. When I defer to substance and
experience, it has to be verifiable and if the person with the
experience isn't willing to hang his reputation (i.e. his identity) off
his posts, then I will discount that experience an appropriate amount.

Here's the proof:
"Nobody" above answered my attack on "Shunmaster" as if were a direct
attack on her:

"Bullies are deplorable and unamerican, not me."

I never accused the "Nobody" character of being unamerican. I made
that charge against "Shunmaster."
"Nobody" *is* "Shunmaster," who is Snowbird. You're not so invisible
after all. But this is what happens when you use multiple identities.
Sooner or later you get mixed up. Pathetic behavior! I feel you owe
me an apology for this sad dishonest subterfuge as well as BWB.

Well, there are still a few people here who think that you are just
BWB's sock puppet. You answered an attack on him as though it were an
attack on you, after all. I don't believe that, but you should see that
it cuts both ways. My own impression of Snowbird is that she would just
like to be left alone.

If I'm reading you correctly, I'll never get that apology. This is
why I have no respect for you Snowbird when you play these kind of
dishonest head games with people. I think you drove BWB crazy with
this kind of mean-spirited posting.

You need to go back to the beginning and actually read what was said for
yourself, to see where the mean spirited posting was coming from.

Ah yes, here are the pinnacles of wisdom, the pontificators of fact,
the creators of the "Mood" of RAH.

Give me a break. You make me want to go take a ****.

We've all seen you jump down people's throats for daring to try and "get
inside a man's soul" and understand the reasons behind their actions,
but I guess that it is okay for you to do the same thing. I'm not a
pinnacle of anything and never created anything that wasn't done with
tools. I'm just tired of all the bull**** and too dumb to ignore it.

Then why don't you get the **** off the thread Del? You gotta put in
your ****ing 2 cents worth. As far as I'm concerned, you are just
nothing but another illiterate, unexperienced fraud, trying to gleen
some gratification by seeing your words in print.

So the difference between you and me, is what? You've got some flight
time and ratings.

Now ain't that sensitive! Ain't that tender!

You wouldn't believe me if I told you. You'd come back with another
of the endless follow ups you morons concoct to make yourselves feel
you have superior skills. Would you believe that I was with Jim
Campbell at Mohave just as Burt Rutan's boys were about to make a 55
second burn and attained 212,000 feet msl at apogee in their space
ship?

Nah, you'd never believe that. In fact you probably don't even know
about the project. You spend too much time reading your own posts
here to know about what's important in the rest of the aviation world.

That twin Comanche is slow, it has dangerous flat spin characteristics
with one engine out, and no useful load. If you weigh a couple
hundred pounds and you fill it with fuel, you'll only get two more
medium sized people in it without busting gross.

But, my point was not to run down your airplane. My point was to run
down the people. I actually think twin Comanches are fun to fly, even
though they burn 15 gallons per hour and only go 160 mph. A
Cessna-210 has the same burn but does 200 mph, plus carries 1000
pounds of people when it's full of fuel.

But most of the people who read this group wouldn't know that, or
know the differences. Just like they don't know the differences
between what we all once envisioned the RAH fly-in to become. But, as
you said, it's just a party now. You can thank people like Sydney and
Moon Man for that. All the real deep talent quit attending long ago.
It is now what you people want it to be, the lowest common
denominator, not a fly-in of any substantial depth, just John
Johnson's annual picnic. A place where he can run around bitching
about how he's losing his ass and needs more money because he ****ed
off the guy who subsidized "His Party" long ago.

Just a picnic anymore where you can go and meet Sydney, Ha Ha. Gee,
I guess that's what I missed to go to Mohave that weekend.

Just a party! Yep. I have to give you credit for that remark. You
couldn't have said it better.

BWB
