The Piper Comanche has been out of production since the mid-sixties. Does
this
hurt the selling price of these birds?

Yes.

There is a huge percentage of pilots (myself included) that love the
Comanche line, but won't buy one because it's been so long out of
production.

I'd buy a Comanche in a heartbeat, if it was still being made today. I
suspect I'm not alone.
