Why doesn't someone hook up a flight sim to one of these, and produce them?.

Gordon's response

" One of four "sims" we have - besides this Link trainer, we have a full
scale STS / Space Shuttle simulator - not just the cockpit but the whole
crew compartment (not currently set up though), and a giant projection
screen flight sim where visitors can fly a Corsair, Cub, or other aircraft
through a well-rendered version of the local San Diego area. Finally, we
have a little wind-tunnel model of a T-6 Texan that allows people to use
flight controls to actual guide an scale aircraft in 'flight'.

I agree - having a Link Trainer attached to a top shelf flight sim would be
a natural fit. I would be willing to try it out for free, if someone wants
to build one."
