We had an 82nd go barging out the forward crew door like he
wasn't supposed to. He piled out and stumbled into the Prop Arc.
Lucky for him, the engine was just about to stop. The prop
blade was barely moving, contacted his helmet, put a real nasty
gash in it and caused a severe concussion. Don't know what
happened to him after that but the Prop was okay without the need
of an ambulance when we put it to bed.

There has at least been some progress in making helicopters safer in
this area.

The Fanestron "fan in fin' concept seen on French and Some German
choppers.
The induced flow "NOTAR" concept
The simple Bo 105, BK BK 117 beloved as airborn ambulances because of
their rear loading clamshell doors and high safe tail rotor
positioning.

So far there aren't claims that she was drinking at the time.

People seem mainly puzzled the plane was running while people were
leaving it or nearby.
