Default Looking for a Shop to work Modify A magneto

My project uses one of the infamous Bendix D-2000 dual mags, the "suicide
mag". I am replacing the function of half of the mag with an Electro-Air
system, and I am looking for a shop that will rebuild my D-2000 as a single
and make a custom harness for it. The two local shops I have contacted just
look at me like I'm nuts. Does anyone have a shop that they are aware of
that is used to such requests from homebuilders.

Thanks in advance
D
