Default Capillary tubing for Schuemann box

I'm working on restoring a Schuemann netto box and I'm in need of a
couple feet of 0.010" ID plastic tubing to make a calibrated leak to
match the netto to my sailplane polar. There are products available,
but generally sold in quantities much larger than I need, and not
inexpensive (sold mostly for bio-medical applications).

The inside diameter is fairly important, as the flow resistance at
constant length goes as the 4th power of ID. The desirable range is
about 0.008 - 0.012".

It's likely possible to use metal capillary tubing for this, which is
easier to find in small qty, but plastic would be much easier to work
with.

Anyone have a source?

Call them up and very politely request a 'sample' of what you think
you need after some friendly smalltalk, they'll likely do it... If
not there are many other sources to ask the same of.

Got it. McMaster-Carr, of course. 0.012" ID teflon... it's sold as
electrical sleeving which is why I didn't find it earlier. $0.12 per
foot.

If you haven't already ordered it, check local hobby shops for "Hot
Stuff" tubing. Also check any electronics supply places. Also, reply
to me if you haven't done anything, and aren't in a huge hurry, I'll
see if I have some (used to have a LOT) of that size. If I can find
it tonight, and it's the right diameter, I'll send you some tomorrow.
