Bob,on a lot of planes if the trim is floating it could set up a
resonace/flutter and rip off the elevator if you can not slow down right away to about 70 mph.Jim |

The one and only Douglas Commercial-1 prototype put up to TWA to counter Boeing's 247, was not exactly responsive to TWA's spec for a 3-engine plane.
