I may have a chance to acquire a Cessna 402A with low time engines wondering
what the good the bad the uglies are?

One place to start would be http://twin.cessna.org and the links associated
with this page.

Steve: Make sure that you stay current with the proposed wing spar AD
for the 400 series Cessnas. Last time that I looked at the estimated
cost to comply, it was close to the value of the aircraft. The time
estimates for tha actual compliance really make it a killer AD for the
aircraft that are required to undergo the mod.

Might be worth more money as a collection of salvage parts than as a
whole aircraft.
