I've been here in Central Texas for the past 10 years or so. -- boB, SAG 70 U.S. Army Aviation (retired) Central Texas - 5NM West of Gray Army Airfield (KGRK) |

Yes, I haven't posted here very much. I'm following Si's stories about his training. -- boB, SAG 70 U.S. Army Aviation (retired) Central Texas - 5NM West of Gray Army Airfield (KGRK) |

When you wrote such an interesting story and started talking about PHI I thought you were Bob Barbanes, a regular to the group up till a few years ago. He too had some interesting stories and when he retired to Florida a few of us here used to tease him about writing a book. |

... My life has been one big lucky streak. I should be dead many times over because of stupid things I did in semi-rigid rotor-wing helicopters and somehow made it through. Crashed 2 with no injuries and both were system malfunctions, not something I did. I still have to dig out the pictures of one Cobra that rolled right and ended up resting on the right rocket pods. But that's another story. ....... I just started another story and deleted it. It was about helicopters and Vietnam but too many stories at a time is boring. Sounds like you really ought to write a book boB!! Si |

Si It would probably be boring. But so much happened over the years I could probably do a short story. If you remember a couple incidents I told over on the flt-sim newsgroup relating to helicopters and, well, you know... it would be adult only. -- boB, SAG 70 U.S. Army Aviation (retired) Central Texas - 5NM West of Gray Army Airfield (KGRK) |
