Default Cleaning paint off acrylic windows

I am buying an aircraft that has had its canopy partly painted over as a sun
shield. Does any one know of a good method of removing the paint from the
acrylic canopy without causing damage to the perspex?

thanks in advance

Jim

Chemicals will probably damage the plexi. You can try alcohol, but
what I needed to do was to lightly sand the paint off then repolish
the plexi, staring with 600 paper up to 2000 paper then polishing
compound on a machine. Good luck.

Try Naptha, I remove overspray with it from blown bubbles
and never had a problem.
