Default Club Class Suggestions

Of all the gliders suggested choose the one with the
best competition record in recent years, so look back
through Club Class results, you will not find the Astir,
ASW 15 or Jantar.
Most important of all is airframe condition in particular
wing profile, if that is poor you can forget high performance.
Many of these gliders are 30 years old and the wings
are nothing like the original condition and it will
cost far more to correct the faults than the best instrument
fit you can buy.

Of all the gliders mentioned one stands out, in any
handicapped comp a really good ASW20 15m with a good
pilot will take some beating. Not ' Any Old' ASW20
but a well set up glider is very competitive in all
conditions , with or without ballast. Need convincing,
look at UK regionals results.

Dave
