Default q horsepower

Is the horsepower the same from an airplane as like from a
motorcycle?
if yes i wonder why airplane engines are still so big to
produce 100 hp against 100 horsepoer from a motorcyle

Un-geared aircraft engines turn the prop directly so the prop tip speed
becomes the limiting factor. The tip of a 6 foot prop turning at 2700RPM
is travelling at about 580mph. To get the power at low RPM you need a
big engine (or a gearbox).

Horse power from big cubic inches is very reliable horse power, horse
power from high RPM is a bit more fickle.
