Cad drawing for ASW27 or ASG29 instrument panel
Good add Bill - I'd forgotten that my shop wouldn't let me laser cut the panel directly if I couldn't give them the chemical composition of the epoxy being used - out of fear of toxic fumes. That necessitated the use of a template router. If you can get a shop to let you laser cut the fiberglass directly you cut out the intermediate step and it all goes much faster. Also a lot easier to cut square holes and fine details that way.
Same process as the water jet - just a different tool. |

Cad drawing for ASW27 or ASG29 instrument panel
Hello,
I just purchased a 29. Thinking about a new panel. Does anybody still have the files ? I like the process of fitting it using the plastic first. I don’t like reinventing the wheel. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Thanks! Jake |

Larry Zero One Larry, Not only do I have the CAD file, I have many instruments that have the back measurements. So, you can move them around at will in the cad file to see if they are going to fit in the panel. The fronts don't mean much in this job other than looking what will be in the air. The SN-10 comes to mind. Some instruments have inlarged backs beyond the standard. I will send all I have with it if you like. I do have DropBox if you want them. I can post the link Gary ASW27b 27-148 "SQ" |
