Default New Versions Of Surface-Launched AMRAAM

These include Ship-launched versions that use the rocket
motor and airframe from Evolved Sea Sparrow.
Which basically makes it an Evolved Sea Sparrow with an
AMRAAM seeker head. See:

Since Evolved Sea Sparrow has a rang of approx 50km, (more than IHAWK
or Standard SM-1) doesn't it qualify as an area-defense system now, as
opposed to a point defense system?
