Default Condor XC team-flying groups

Hi, some of us in our club (Utah Soaring Assn) have started a group to share XC skills by flying together weekly on Condor 2 (and later in the year to fly in real life). I know many do this already informally on several continuing nightly or weekly Condor races.

In our group are beginners and advanced pilots. Our goal is not so much racing, but to fly at least weekly in randomly chosen teams (2 or 3 pilots per team, changing each time) with a mix of skills so that we can learn from each other and get to know each other better, with perhaps a post flight discussion between everyone about what worked best. We talk through a Discord server with a channel for each team. The scoring is all team based (average of points), and the real goal is for each team to finish, with small kudos to the fastest team.

I'm wondering if others would like to form such groups and fly with us. My priority would be to engage club-based groups, and if there were competition between groups/clubs it would be based on the scores of all teams flying in the group rather than just the best team, again to encourage beginners and advanced pilots to mix. Maybe scoring based on the total of all points in a group so that there is incentive for each group to fill up their team slots. Condor 2 allows up to 8 teams to fly, and with at max 3/team, it would be at most 24 gliders.

If you can put together a group of at least 6 people and want to try this, email me at bret dot hess at gmail dot com.
