Default Testing spray pattern on turbine injectors

I'm in the middle of cleaning the injectors of the engine on my BD-5J, and I
was wondering if someone here has dealt with this issue before...

I need to test spray pattern. The engine has 8 injectors. I know I can set
up a rig where I pump fuel into the injectors, and perhaps use a piece of
cardboard 12 inches from the injectors to see what the spray pattern looks
like after a shot of fuel. I would be looking for uniformity of pattern from
all injectors.

Am I missing something else I should look for?

Juan

Please excuse me if this does not apply.

I don't know about gas injectors, however I have experience with Diesel Injectors which I believe work on the same principle.
You have to have a break pressure, the injector holds the fuel until a certain fuel pressure
is built up,You will have to find out what the pressure would be, then it is injected, You check the spray patern, like you said. The injector cannot "dribble" it has to hold the pressure till it is injected.

Do a Google on Diesel Injectors, it will give You ideas

Murry, thanks for the interesting info. However, I don't think my turbine's
injectors are anything like this. They are open straight through. You can see
images of them at these URL's prior to cleaning...

....and this is what they look like after cleaning...
