Ultrasport
Monk: The Ultrasport co. In Va. folded its tent. The parent company is in
Taiwan and may still be producing the ship. While it was in Va. Our magazine had a good relationship with the manager and they advertised in our issues. We were sorry to see them go. Now one of the guys who used to work at Ultrasport is now producing the Wasp little two seat turbine powered ship. I think that some of the things he liked about the Ultrasport got added to the Wasp and some of the things like the skid legs proved to be a bit on the weak side. He had a hard landing with the Wasp prototype and the legs failed badly and he ended up with a broken back. Needless to say the Wasp has been tested at a NASA facility.
