Default The Kennedy's are at it again...

CNN is airing a segment about the Indian Point nuclear power plant in NY
and two of the Kennedy's (Rory and ?) are on camera saying how easy it
is to fly an airplane into it. They are flying in a helicopter over the
power plant at low level and saying there should be a No-Fly zone around
it. The film she directed, "Imagine the Unimaginable" will be on HBO
Thursday night. A government official in the film now says had he know
the result, he would never have taken part in it because of the
misrepresentations made.

I think the Baby Boomer generation has seen too much Star Trek on TV.
They seem to think in terms of Force Fields and "Shields Up,
Lieutenant!"; like No-Fly zones mean anything to potential terrorists.
They seem to be more for Air National Guard units to practice
intercepts on unwary pilots.

but if they were paying attention, they'd have noticed that
the shields almost always fail.

a low flying helicopter flying into the power plant.. it may take out the
transformer section and power grid disruption.. or damage "part" of the
office building structure around it..

but it will NOT damage the containment dome, or the control room, that is
behind so much concrete and iron bars that it will bounce off and slide to
the bottom, just scraping the paint along the way.. it can take a direct hit
from an airliner..
