What further info do you have on this A/C and picture, Mitch? I believe it
is a SUPERMARINE SEAFIRE L. Mk.III from 887 Squadron, HMS Indefatigable,
British Pacific Fleet, August 1945.

Attached is a profile of No. 112 from the same squadron. No. 112, Piloted
by Sub-Lieutenant G.J. Murphy shot down two Mitsubishi A6M Reisens over
Odaki Bay Japan 15 Aug. 1945, scoring the last aerial victories of WWII.

Also attached is a great color pic of the same squadron on the flight deck
in Nov. 1945,

I love the old style national insignia on No. 115's right wing. Makes for a
great modeling subject.
