Default Stolen 172 & Citation update

In the Nov issue of Business & Commercial Aviation there's two articles
covering the two stolen planes earlier this year. The drunk idiot that
stole the 172 from Danbury is still under 23-hour lockdown in the
Westchester County Jail since the incident. If he can come up with the
250k bail he's out. Charged with reckless endangerment, possession of
stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and flying while
intoxicated he's being made an example of by Westchester's DA who
happens to be running for NY senator against one Hillary Clinton. The
article says he could get as much as 7 years, and that's before
Connecticut ever gets ahold of him (they won't).

Sucks to be him, but he did kinda bring it on himself.

The other nitwit that stole the Citation VII from St. Augustine FL is
in the Gwinnett County (GA) jail, with a 175k bail pending charged with
"theft-by-taking". This putz has six prior offences in the county
(article didn't specify). It also said he holds a CPL but NO type
ratings - I recall the thread last month when this all happened and
someone mentioned they'd looked up on a database somewhere that the kid
had a Citation II type rating. Apparently not. If that's the case and
he had no jet training, a public caning is in order IMO (of course
after he pays for the aileron damage he did by exceeding VMO)

Wonder if Daddy will bail his dumb ass out or let him sit for a bit?

If daddy were going to bail him out, he would've done so last month.
