Default "U.S. to begin drone patrols on Canadian border"

Saw this mentioned under the thread "The 5430 mile long TFR" on the Van's
Airforce website:

http://www.vansairforce.com/communit...ad.php?t=14249

Here's the first 2 paragraphs of the AP story:

"WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) -- Unmanned surveillance aircraft will start
patrolling the Canadian border by this fall, a Department of Homeland
Security official said.

The propeller-driven drones, called Predators, will begin patrolling U.S.
airspace along the border with Canada by September and will fly day and
night, said Scott Baker, chief patrol agent of Customs and Border
Protection, an arm of the Department of Homeland Security."

Complete story is he

And after a couple of months and a couple of million $$s in cost for
very little benefit...except to see US citizens moving north :-)... the
US Border Patrol will redirect these assets south where they *are*
needed and where there *will be* a pay back...
