I strung a 70 foot rope between 2 trees ~30' high and
ran an electical wire from the rope center to near ground

props. It was a very popular toy. People would go by
in their boats and watch it fly around, it was on a plateau
just off the lake.

Wow! that sounds real cool! Can you post some pics of it somewhere?
I'm real intersted in model airplanes and hope to build one one day I can
use as a prototype I might have in mind for making a wood and/or fiberglass
aluminum composite maybe for commercial use in the long distant future.
Thanks!

Back in the 80's, the techno existed to develope a
shoulder launched guided missile that could deliver
a kiloton explosion anywhere on the planet.
I asked Reagan and Gorbetrov if they wanted us to
develope that weapon, they said wait, cuz they did
not have the arm skills to regulate a policy to cover
that type of weapon., fair enough, the program is on
pause.

What, you didn't try and sell the home version to Milton Bradley?

Spelling corrections:
develope =develop
Gorbetrov = Gorbachov
Ken = delusional

Were it not for the urgency of WW2, very likely turbo-
jet and nuclear developement would have taken a lot
longer. Eisenhower cautioned that weapons aquistion
ability was exceeding the political policy to deal with
the vastly expanded rate of killing.
Personally I liked IKE, and moreso Marshall, sure hope
this generation will spawn men of their ability.
Maybe a dash of common-sense at the right time.
