Default FS9 weather ?

when you download the weather, you download it for the whole world, but as
far as i know, FS saves it as a part of a "save game" file and not
individually. meaning, the flight, route, weather, time of day, blah blah
are all saved in one file and you can't get access to them. another thing is
that during the game, FS loads the weather into your comp's RAM so you can'
access it from there as well. If someone has some other way, please correct
me.

Where does the realworld weather data go in FS9 files. Can I use it with
other situations ? Anywhere in the World ? How ?

I missed the start of this thread so I'm not certain this is what you're
after, but GetWeather (http://www.bearsoft.de/getWeatherUS.html) acts as
a local proxy for the FS200x real-world weather, storing the files on
the computer's hard disk from where they can be loaded into any active
scenario.

I used to use this program all the time when I was on dial-up. I've not
bothered with it much since moving to broadband but it might be what the
original poster is looking for.
