Why is Israel buying so many 2 seat aircraft?
Hobo wrote:
In the last few years Israel has bought 2 seat versions of the F-15 and F-16. It appears to me that this represents a significant shift towards 2 seaters on the part of Israel. Is my impression of a shift in inventory towards 2 seaters correct, and if so, what is the motive? The F-15I is the Israeli version of the Beagle, ang a two seater strake aircraft by design. IIRC, he two seat F-16s are tasked with SEAD, which the Israelis see as requiring two crew. -- --Matthew Saroff _____ * For a succesful technology, * / o o \ * reality must take precedence over * ______|_____|_____ * public relations, for Nature * uuu U uuu * cannot be fooled." * * - Richard P.
