Globe Swift Wreckage
In the mid-70's In Valdosta Ga, while a member of a crash rescue team I
extracted a lady from the wreckage of a Globe Swift that crashed on the airport. The lady's last name was Piper, first name may have been Laurie or Laura? Does anyone know any details of that crash or anything about Ms. Piper, I had the opportunity to talk with her less than 30 minutes prior to the fatal accident, she was a very nice lady...Harold |

(That was likely you too?) The reply stated her name as Jeanie Piper. /Rolf |

I Believe I asked if the pilot of the Swift was related to the Piper
that died in the wreckage of a FA-18 at the time..I was interested at the time in obtaining some info on the pilot and the modifications to the aircraft...Didn't get the answers then and probably won't now..Oh well I'll try again in another seven years.. |

Well at least your persistant... Will WebTV still be here 7 years from now? I believe you got answered this time from 3 different replies in regards to the crash and Ms. Piper. I'd suggest printing her name out so you won't have to keep repeating yourself... Jeanie Piper |

The reply stated her name as Jeanie Piper.
Googling further, a post in a boating group (Google cached) states: "We once had a very active covey of Swifts in the local area but the tragic loss of Hilton McNiel and Jeanie Piper aboard their Swifts put a big downer in that flock."
