Weather Balloon
Yesterday we noticed a weather balloon which appeared to be fully
expanded slightly to the east of Moriarty. It appeared to move slightly to the west as the day wore on and, when I landed at 5:30, it was perhaps 20 to the west of Moriarty. Winds up to about 16,000' MSL were out of the west at about 13 kts. I wonder at what altitude the wind shifted approximately 180 degrees. -- Dan, 5J |
