Default Helicopter rescue stats and production numbers

Hello Ladys and Gentelmen

I have recently found myself in a position to have to defend my local
airport and undoubtably helicopter noise came up as one of the hot topics.

I would like to present helicoptes in a positive light. I belive that on
average each helicopter produced saves about one life. I am trying to
prove to what extent that this is true or untrue, so I need some good
sources of information. I would also like to know the ratio of civel
search and rescue helicopters to helicopter bases.

Of course helicopters like the R-22 may have never saved a life but each
407 or H-60 probably makes up for those.

I am looking for statistics both for civel and military operations.

Thank You
John Roncallo
