Anyone have information about the Avionic company?

I have a vario (GS-500) and radio (FV 2720) by them and can't find information about this company. Don't know if they just went out of business or changed names, ect.

Thanks

Hi Casey:

Stig Øye is the man who built the GS-500. He very kindly sent me a manual for my GS500. Email me and I will send you his address.

Greg

Hi Greg,

I also bought a vario same type. It would be very kind of you to send me the manual.

Thanks Lutz

Lutz,

I sent you a PM with link to manual in my dropbox.

The developer Stig Oye is a nice guy and volunteered to repair my GS500 for free but with shipping round trip I opted to buy a new vario. The GS500 is a nice vario that had my glider polars right on. The unit is designed or polars are set up by the shop for a particular glider. Stig has the SN reference for each produced and what model glider and SN it went in. Mine still worked but audio went out. It could be either the speaker or audio transistor but I'm not that electronic savvy. I do plan to have someone close by take a look at it for it is a nice unit.

Hi Casey,

thanks a lot for sending me the manual. That is very helpfully. This week I will install the Vario in an Astir-CS.

Thats what I'm flying. My GS500 was dialed in right. I put in a LXNav100 and still working on the settings and compensation. I plan to get the speaker or audio transistor fixed in the GS500 sometime.
