Default Minden Vote - Results

The vote count is in for the East vs West side controversy, and club
members have voted overwhelmingly (98% in favor) for the East side
plan.

Although the final vote does not reflect it, a great amount of
discussion has gone on, and participation has been at an all time high.

The trustees of MSC now have a clear mandate with regards to the moving
of gliding operations to the East side of the airport. Visit the MSC
website (www.mindensoaringclub.org) for a review of the East side plan.

As President of the club, my goal is to revive gliding at Minden. I
believe we still have the best soaring site in North America, and we
the new installations, we will again attract glider pilots from around
the world to return.

The East side plan also includes all the necessary requirements for
Minden to host a world competition once again. These have been
carefully reviewed by Bob Semans, SSA Hall of Famer, our club
vice-president.

See you soon in Minden!

Minden Airport Association, an airport advocacy group comprised of airport
users, tenants, and supporters, have also voted on this plan - - with 100%
of votes in favor.

We've still got a lot of work to do, but with our friends at Minden Soaring
Club, and MAA behind it too, we are confident we can bring this together!
