Warm Weather Pilots, Cold Weather Ops
Is the Montrose crash "Deja Vu all over again"?
Back in the 80's and 90's we saw several crashes which featured pilots from warm weather climes operating in cold weather areas who failed to pay attention to the affects of freezing precipation on the airframes they were flying. ie - Air Florida "Palm 90" departure from Washington Reagan National - American Eagle ATR42 "Rosewood" crash - several business jets at Aspen Is this a "Brain Fart", complacency, or symptom of a training and education problem? |
