The answer is on the same site you glorify and probably smoke
choads from. I quote from the Phoenix TAC:

The *VFR TRANSITION ROUTE* over Phoenix Sky Harbor Int'l Airport is
based on Runway in use. 7s/8: use the West route. 25s/26, use the East
route.

A transition route isn't a corridor. A corridor is outside the Class B; a
transition route goes through it. Look at KSAN to see a true VFR corridor.

As long as we're on the subject, let's mention the LAX Special Flight
Rules Area directly over the airport between 3,500' and 4,500':
http://skyvector.com/perl/code?id=KLAX&scale=3 . It is a VFR route
through KLAX Class B surface area that doesn't require ATC
authorization nor communication with ATC!

There's an explanation of how to use it on the lower left hand corner
of the KLAX Terminal Control Area chart.

Wrong. SFRA at LAX is a corridor and *IN THE CLASS B*.

Either get your facts straight, or plan to have a size 15 boot
shoved up your ass every time you open your moouth.

Your play on words does you no good, Anthony. It is a corridor,
as it handles both north and southbound traffic, as does the Shoreline
route and Hollywood park mini route.

All of which in the Los Angeles Class B. So for the sake of
everyone here, shut up and stop splitting hairs.

A Special Flight Rules Area is just that: an area where the normal rules don't
apply.
