Default What thickness for new side windows?

What are the pros/cons of thicker replacement side windows? Does the
thickness of the sides affect noise much? Is the 1/4" replacement stuff
significantly heavier?

If noise is your enemy, take the money you save by buying the thinner side
windows, and buy the best ANR headsets you can find.

We've got the thick windows in ours, and I haven't noticed anything very
quiet about our plane. Worse, the thicker windshields have a distortion in
them that is annoying.
